Kalpana Pot grew up in a family of doctors, where education was always a top priority. However, while science was in her blood, her passion leaned more toward the stars than the human body. Despite her love for space, entertainment was her true calling—she’s an accomplished dancer and singer who has found a unique way to merge her two greatest loves: storytelling and science.

Kalpana has appeared in numerous TV shows, including Grey’s Anatomy, AP Bio, Days of Our Lives, and Hot in Cleveland alongside Betty White, as well as in many national commercials. She has also hosted various events and collaborated with organizations like USSOCOM, the History Channel, Sony, and Lego. As a series regular on FOX’s unscripted show Strange & Suspicious, she used her science expertise to debunk conspiracy theories.

In late 2023, Kalpana published her first book, Spaced Out: A Casual Approach to the Cosmos, a fun and down-to-earth (pun intended) exploration of astronomy. She wrote it for her ~500k followers, who appreciate her unfiltered, no-nonsense take on the cosmos.

Ultimately, her biggest Hollywood dream is to bring her workplace comedy to life—an idea inspired by her part-time job at Griffith Observatory.
